Premier Air Is Giving Thanks & Sharing Their Story

Michelle Dammen Shares Her Story

This year has been a trying one for many reasons, but with Thanksgiving just around the corner, our owners are taking an opportunity to reflect. Today, Michelle Dammen is sharing her remarkable story, how Premier Air Heating & Cooling was created, and everything she is grateful for this year:

I never in a million years would have guessed that I would be where I am today. As a little girl, I dreamed of being a veterinarian and later pursued a degree in Agricultural Education with a passion for molding young people into productive members of society. Little did I know that my life would take an unexpected turn that I could never be more grateful for. In 2008, I graduated college – I then went back to school for a Master’s degree because the job market was terrible. It wasn’t a whole lot better when I finished the MS in Agricultural Relations in 2010 but I was young, naïve, and ready to take on the world… until the dream job I thought I was a shoo-in for, didn’t pan out.

I was devastated. But that failure was one of the biggest blessings in my life. It pushed me to pursue other avenues here in the Gallatin Valley and allowed me to have an incredible experience working with the local Conservation District and later, to start my own private agricultural consulting business. So in 2014, when my husband’s partner in North Dakota decided to take their business in a different direction, I was in a place where we could team up and do something together that I will be eternally grateful for.

The creation of Premier Air was a labor of love, starting in our small home office and garage with a logo we designed on a napkin. We had ideas on how to create a place that was different from other HVAC companies Chad had worked for in the past. We wanted to grow and cultivate people to utilize their strengths and fulfill their dreams and passions, and to be a vehicle for that personal and professional growth. It has been 6 years since that crazy day when Chad said, “File a business license!” and I would not trade one single second of the joy, the struggles, or the challenges that have brought us to where we are today. We are always continuing to look to the future for ways we can innovate and improve, and each day, I get to work with an amazing team of people who pour their hearts into making the Premier Difference a reality. This season and always, I am thankful for everyone who has supported us or been a part of this journey. Without our amazing team and our incredible clients, we would not be able to do what we do!
